Non-photo Blue: A common tool used in print industry with a particular shade of blue used for grids or notes that can not be detected by graphic arts cameras.
2009. 18w x 24h. Drypoint print on Rives BFK paper.
The work extends from a drawing of an aerial city view made from the top of a mountain. It is a parodical comparison between satellite and celestial views. The idea that somebody/something is watching from above at all times triggers the use of non-photo blue color, suggesting a map or object that is not interested in being found or reproduced.
